Mortgage application advice

Hi there, I have been a member on here before, but have registered again as I must have used an old email address.
I am suddenly in a panic and hope someone can advise me on this please.
I am meeting with a mortgage broker next week to apply for a mortgage on a house I have made an offer on. I am getting all the paperwork together such as payslips and bank statements and realised that my bank account is a joint account I had with my ex husband. I just kept it and have continued to use it ever since (he doesn't use it) but does pay maintenance into it, we split up amicably so there was no reason to get another account. I just wondered whether this is going to be a problem with my application?
Would anyone know?

Depends on his credit - as you will be financially associated.
Explain it to your broker and it shouldnt be a problem - assuming your ex isnt in all sorts of financial trouble.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thank you for replying. His credit is fine, he has just got his own mortgage. That won't go against me will it?
I'm really stressing about it now.0 -
No, your not liable for any of that mortgage.
Potentially if he went bankrupt any money in that account could be classed as part of his until you proved otherwise but i think were miles away from that even being an issue.
Dont worry you should be fine. Just tell your broker anyway so he knows IF the lender queries it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
