CCA not provided - next step?

Hi all,
In follow up to my original thread here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4741144
I sent a CCA request letter to Rockwell DCA about an original Egg debt from back in 2004. I got a reply saying they were trying to get hold of it, then nothing since for a few weeks. I am now past the point of 12+2+30 days.
They have not contacted me further to try to collect the debt or about my request so I am unsure as to whether or not I should just leave things be (as it seems highly unlikely they are going to be able to provide me with it now and therefore pursue the debt) or send them the letter template I have found stating that I have waited past the time limit and asking them to reply.
The defaults on the debt have left my credit file, so I'm not sure if there is a cause to push this.
Thanks very much for any advice

You can (almost) guarantee they wont have your agreement from 2004, if they do manage to locate it, which is doubtful, the chances are it could be unenforceable anyway, I think you can safely put this one to bed, wait and see what they come back with, my guess ? in a month or two`s time they will write stating they cant locate it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
