APG not a big as I expected. I bought the 2 types of cheese, can anyone tell me where I went wrong please?

Good evening:). I'm still to catch up - I bet there's lots of posts in between my last one and this which are waiting for me to reply to:D.

I think you bought the cheese correctly, as it looks like it's compared full price (£4) on the Pilgrims vs T, but it's those 50p items in A that are losing money as T is more expensive on them. Need to avoid 50p r'llbacks like that and, if need to buy those types of products, buy the equiv. items (plus enough others to qualify) in T (to compare vs A).

Well! Yesterday was a fairly good evening wombling - I got back enough to cover the overspend on those incorrect soups I bought last time. It was a bit rainy - my best wombling day before has been when it was hot sunshine on a weekend during the daytime - perhaps last night the rain stopped the trolley people coming out and taking all the trolleys with the receipts before I could get to them!

I went for a repeat tonight, but sadly seemed to be virtually none at the first store, and trying to look around a darkened car park wasn't that good! I went and had some reckless fun with the APG instead.:rotfl::rotfl: I did what you should not do: do not copy this as it isn't money-saving! Of course I had no APGs with me, so paid in cold (or hot) hard cash:eek:. Ah well, we can have fun at times - bit like an occasional flutter or go on the slot machines or those 10p drop things at the funfairs. In fact, a story there - last time I went to one of the amusement arcades, earlier this year, I changed a couple of quid into the 10ps and had put all of them, plus the few I'd already had at the beginning, into the machine, then the final one... more 10ps than I'd originally had dropped out!!:T:j:j I put one back in, of course, as it just gets you to keep going (I remember the time when I was a kid, with my parents I managed to spend (and lose) £20 in an arcade once - mum was furious:rotfl:). Nothing. Then another - and won a pound something (in 10ps). So, at that point, I left!!:T:T:j:j Profit from the arcades!:)

Anyway, I just went and did a 'blind' APG shop, just to see if buying 'random' (not quite random) items would give me an APG. I think I had a few rules - which I hadn't deeply thought about, but decided to shop vs T, and perhaps I wasn't allowed to buy more than two of the 'usual items', and that everything I bought had to be something I'd use (so no Soft & Gentles) and, shock!, I'm not that fond of the Bombay Potatoes, so none of those. Also not allowed to use ten pence sweets as fillers, or things like that.

So... we'll find out how I did (later!). I avoided all those terrible 50p Heinz soups and Pot Noodles that the store had out right at the entrance. Total spend was £6.13 (not planned or calculated) and guesses can be made on what the APG amount back will be (assuming I managed to buy 8 items that are still on msm.co.uk and no looking at msm today allowed).

Second store, on the way back, was a lot better for wombles, and the store didn't have the 50p items out at the front, so maybe I stand more chance...??..

Whatever I type looks like Im excited :rotfl::rotfl:

I wonder if these problems, that no one else seems to have are because it's an older iPad (2)? I wish they'd sort it out :(

Oh, while in A, I saw the loose Iceberg Lettuce at 50p (and avoided it), also 50p cucumber. .... ohhh...

Well there we are... a goal just scored about two seconds after I said none!! Perhaps, just perhaps, some psychic encouragement came from me:D.
  • Hmm I'm tempted to go and hit mr t at midnight

...items to buy in T in the mo. (unless waiting for T to go on 2 for £1 mix and match and then buying one of each in A, for example, ten per cent lower than A's current price of 2), and saw the Salad Tomatoes packs on now on "Price Lock" apparently, at 75p! So, there to keep buying in T from now on. Unless on a week where S or T go down to that price.

The scanners in my store are turned off at 10pm :(

Edit: No wonder, it's not a 24hr anymore
