Looks like a US code, do you need to know where they are from to ring them? Just ask them again when you call :p

Not London, they are 0203 and 0207, and I think the rest are 01 numbers. You def wrote it down right?

Scratch that, Ireland numbers start 028(20) and upwards.

    Since I arrived in london they switched from 01 to 071 and 081 then 0171 and 0181 and then 02017 and 0208 and 0203. A sign-writer's paradise.

Paris ran out of numbers at the same time so they just added a 1 at the end of all existing numbers so they could issue 9 whole new sets of numbers.;)

    Good night all.
The 028 number sounds like it's early in the alphabet as in the old city cods Birmingham (021), Edinburgh (031), Glasgow (041), Liverpool (051) Manchester (061), Newcastle (091)

But all the numbers you said have ones after the zero, for example, Newcastle is 0191. (Just to avoid confusion)

Edit: oh, I get you now :) so we are looking for 0128.
