Yep. That is what we did
500g boxes- long grain Uncle Bens. I think it's a mistake on Ts part. Should only apply to the 250g microwaveable packets we think!
We're still working our way through the 5kg Tilda Long Grain rice sacks bought in Asda for £3 which later reduced to £2 - think it was last year but might have been year before? I think we bought 6 and are now down to 21/2.
It's true what they say that rice is better the longer it's stored. It's lovely rice - very fragrant, very tasty.
IF a bargain like that comes up again it's worth buying as much as you can store. It just fit in at the end of our 12ft run of tall units bought specifically for glitches.0 -
