Worst of all my Dad went into hospital for a weeks investigation, he looked so much better this week, fully awake, eye contact, listening, taking notice and taking part in conversations onWednesday and Thursday. But On Sunday morning he had his porridge and pills and then his breathing changed and he just slipped away before any of us could reach the hospital. So we have a funeral to go to on Tuesday.
So sorry mhoc, my thoughts are with you and yours.

It might not seem like much comfort now, however trust me, it will get better.

I lost my FIL in March and at the time I was devastated. Time is a great healer though, and now, 6 months later I can look back and celebrate what a wonderful man he was.

In time, you will come to appreciate that you and your family got to spend the last few days of his life with him and he would have left you knowing how much you loved, valued and appreciated him.

Now, emotions are raw, but trust me, in time, you as a family will remember him fondly and realise what a blessing he was to you.

Everyone does it, even the muggles. My sister was talking about the worst gift she had ever had off her SIL described it in great detail, how awful it was. And I said yes you gave it to me as a gift :eek: Her face was a picture. At least our comp wins/freebies / glitches are new !
