Have just agreed with my boss a 3 month sabbatical from work, as my son is about to start radiotherapy for a cancerous brain tumour, and there is no way I can work and get him to all his appointments. How terrible, where is he being treated? Only I have had a lot to do with the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool, myself and they can do amazing things.

Last night saw a pop group called Lawson on TV performing from the 02 Arena. They were named after the surgeon from the Walton centre that saved the lead singers life after he had a brain tumour. It was a lovely heartwarming story, they had the surgeon as guest of honour.
Hope things turn out as well for your son.

I havent been near an sada for months and I'm running low on s and g, so maybe now I'm not working, i could take a trip.

Thanks for all the good wishes - we've been told he's unlikely to get any better, but radiotherapy should stop him from getting worse for a couple of years (!).
