Surprised the toothbrush was on my results as gave that back at c&c. Heavily wiped out by the Tesco Gala apples though
[...]
ETA: The gala apples dont even compare on msm.
There are different rules for T PP and the APG, whereby only Savvy knows when/what to buy.
The Gala apples (750g) are £1 in M at the mo., but, as Mr A's were variable weight, they are non-comparable to those and, anyway, A's packs are now much smaller than they were before so are outside the weight range. I would buy the Gala pack in M - except that the Savers Apples, which appear to be around 800g this week (down from 880g last week) are 89p rather than the £1, so makes more sense to buy the Saver ones (even though they're not Gala at the moment).
As for T, it sometimes looks wider and compares to elsewhere even if they are outside the 10% weight limit that theoretically applies. It's computers as well you see; sometimes they don't have weights online but just see Gala apple pack vs Gala apple pack. Buy much bigger packs in T and pricematch to appropriate competitor when they (the competitor) are on offer. Noticed M returning N/A for the Galas on T PP - perhaps, because the prices for M are not currently obtained from online, they have manually identified them as "Gala Apples (750g)" and thus straight "Gala apples pack" or "Gala apples pack - min. 6" does not compare to that. At least I'm taking it the Galas in M are 750g, they were last time around, maybe they are now "approx." 750g and vary in weight but, anyway, they don't compare from A.
As for loose fruit and the like, don't let that confuse you - msm.co.uk does not always give all the competitors' prices on loose fruit that compare on the APG - you have physically to switch over to the competitor, check for the type of apple (or pear etc.) and look at the prices per 100g to see whether you might lose out buying them on APG. For example, for some reason (probably computer-scanning again), loose bananas are always given as 180g in T and 100g in A (outside 10% weights) but they are in fact loose bananas and therefore can be bought in lots of quantities - the price per kg (or 100g) is the same at both T and A, as showing under T Bananas and A Bananas on msm.co.uk, and they do therefore (as they are 'by weight' items) compare on APG.0 -

That's what I call a cracking deal (pun intended:D:D).

WishI'dReadSooner wrote: »Jeez. Just spent ages planning my Asda shop & also a Tesco shop with quite a few of the 25% off offers from MSL. If you play around with which supermarket you buy at you can often get things free or nearly free.
Just looked on app to write out list, as invariably I can't get it to work in any store. I'm back down to just 5 items giving cashback instead of 501 as earlier today. HONESTLY!
I'm getting frustrated with the MSL app - nothing, then an over-abundance, then back to nothing, without any notice. I've not seen any dates on my app.
Is everyone else's the same?
It's driving me mad......just not worth the time you waste. Life is too short:)
