Good afternoon
Well my day didn't quite go to plan. OH got cold feet about his first day on the new project he started today
I ended up coming home half way through the day and took (dragged
) him there myself.
He's very fortunate to have been offered the place and it's got the potential to help him so much, I couldn't let him just give up on it without trying it.
Anyway, They were a lovely group of people and in time I think he will start to settle in there and might even enjoy the company. It's very relaxed with no pressure to join in with the group or speak to people if you don't feel like it.
I missed a whole afternoons work which I'll have to try and catch up with later
Im off to catch up0 -

Not sure quite what I want to say but here goes. I find it hard to understand why some people have so much to bear in life and others don't. I read of lots of people on here experiencing serious illness either themselves or their family. Fortunately I've been very lucky healthwise but seem to have a very difficult financial situation to deal with (basically started up a franchise which was a con and lost about £60K ) which I really cannot see ever being resolved. Others seem to sail through life with everything falling into place, no health worries, no financial problems, good jobs.
Sometimes I find it overwhelming especially when one more thing goes wrong. Camel...back.
Sorry if this is a bit deep for an MSE thread but I feel quite depressed today and then when I read of others battling ill health I feel guilty for worrying about just money. Just felt I had to get that off my chest!0 -

Dont know if I'll be able to partake, because of time, but I bet I've missed a few good ones!
Have just agreed with my boss a 3 month sabbatical from work, as my son is about to start radiotherapy for a cancerous brain tumour, and there is no way I can work and get him to all his appointments. Plus I'm exhausted and stressed from the last 3 months of surgery, appointments, scans, physio, adjusting to having a son with a limp to a son who struggles to walk and has epilepsy.
Well done Logie on the money raising, sounds like you are doing well healthwise (I've only read a page or two)?
Best wishes all xx
Lovely to see you back. Sorry to hear your news about your son though0 -

FC - that's good news. At least he has been today and knows what to expect next time he goes back. Good on you for going with him, even though it's set you back today. Assume you may have to go with him one more time.... baby stepsfairclaire wrote: »Good afternoon

Lizzie,
dont feel guilty for feeling how you do. Worries are worries, whether they are financial, death, family, illness or other things. All are difficult and if life is tough, then it's tough - doesn't matter where the stress comes from.
When you think someone's life is rosy, it may just be that they haven't said anything or people are unaware. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors.
I'mDebtfree has this at the end of her post
"The grass is not greener, it just looks that way from a distance"
So sending you a big hug too as I think this thread needs it today.
In fact, who else wants to come in?
