First Direct - Just How Picky Are They?

Hi All, We're just starting the process of applying for a mortgage via First Direct. We've done the fact find telephone call and have been told that we meet their criteria in terms of income, affordability etc. Received the printed application form in the post yesterday to send away. However, I keep reading everywhere…

Thanks Donz and Georgesmum. It's really re-assuring the hear this. We had considered looking at other lenders but after reading about the positive experiences here for people in similar circumstances, we are going to go ahead with FD and keep our fingers crossed! We've signed the application forms and are just waiting to meet with our solicitor to get authorised copies of our ID.
