Elizabeth Arden goodies

I was thrilled to see that on the Facebook Winners thread my name came out as the winner of the Elizabeth Arden competition run by GlossyBox.
However, when I went on their Facebook page and saw the announcement, someone with the same name as me has posted that they are excited to have won the competition.
Oh dear. As I haven't heard directly from them I guess I have jumped the gun and assumed it was me when it wasn't. Oh bum! That would have been a lovely little win.
Never mind. I wonder does this happen often?

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one

Do make sure though because you don't always get contacted by facebook competitions and it has been known that people will try and pose as the winner.october/november wins- cowley manor hand and nail cream, 2 books, sweets, clarks maple syrup0

Yes, I agree dannyizwinnin, I would send them a private message on facebook especially if they haven't tagged the winner in their post.0

Well I've contacted them now, so we'll wait and see if it was just an unlucky co-incidence :-)

Who knows, they may even send you a little something to ease your pain!
Sorry to hear about your disappointment...0 -

This has happened to me twice  so have now included my middle initial as I know there is another comper with the same name as mine.
I did message the FB pages concerned and think it was quite genuine.
Disappointing, I agree. Hope you have a nice win soon0 -

I once saw two people with the same name asking which was the winner for a FB comp and they clarified with a location.
Companies don't always direct contact you so it's worth asking if it was you or the other person. They may have heard directly or may be assuming just like you.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0 -
