Free Goodwood Tickets - The Times

Has anyone had any free Goodwood FOS tickets yet? I applied but cannot remember when the closing date was and the Times web site just says all tickets have been now been allocated. I just wondered if they'd been sent out yet? I suppose you just have to wait for the postie to hopefully deliver them, cannot imagine that they have time to e-mail people that they will be getting a pair of tickets.....fingers crossed.

I havent had any hit my mat yet but they are appearing on ebay now so they must be being sent out.

I've just been thinking the same. Need to know whether to book the day off as holiday yet - I think the closing date was Weds wasn't it? Did you get any sort of confirmation? I didn't?

No, I didn't get a confirmation, just a thank you for applying for your two tickets or something similar. My mail has been this morning and no tickets, maybe I wasn't successful or maybe tomorrow if the closing date was Wednesday.

wow I didn't realise the Times was giving them away free. Hopefully you'll get some! I had to shell out for mine

But it should be a great day though and well worth the entrance fee. My mum was all excited because "Lee Hamilton" is going to be there on the Sunday. Bless her, she tries.

I hope I get them - I was going to surprise my fella and I phoned his boss to see if he could have the day off as holiday and he got really funny and said "you'll have to tell him, and get him to ask himself". Spoilsport!

The free tickets are only for Friday, so if you're going Sunday it would not have been any good to you. I went on the Friday last year and it was a great day, not as busy, although not as many 'big names' there if that's what you like. Still, whichever day appeals to you, it's a brilliant day.

Mine arrived today as well.

And mine too. Am very happy Only problem is, my birthday is Thursday so I won't be able to have too much drink because of the early drive Friday morning. Oh well, will have to make up for it at the weekend. Goodwood will definitely be worth it.
