HELP PLEASE with crossword for Pick Me Up 41

Hi folks,

Please help with the last word in the Pick Me Up Crossword.

Clue is Uncomfortably Relevant (4,2,4)

and I have..... _ E _ R, _ O, _ O _ E

I was thinking along the lines of 'near to the bone' or 'close to home' but I'm not really happy with 'near to home'. If anybody has any other ideas please share

    I have heard the term 'hits close to home'??? Near to home could be an alternative?
