Best food shopping prices

Hi all, I'm trying to find the best prices for food and household essentials as we are moving soon and I want an idea of how much to budget to stock everything up. Is the best way to do it going to be to buy a little from a lot of different places? Eg farmfoods, approved food and Aldo or lidl?

Mysupermarket now incorporates Aldi prices f that's helpful? If you can offer a list of things you buy regularly we could help with that to start with? Most f us are apply to share our experiences.

If you want cheap bread and milk in quantity, Farmfoods is a good bet. Approved Foods is largely processed foods can be hit and miss.

I'll go somewhere different each week and only buy whatever is on special stocking up on things that are rarely purchased when they are at their cheapest....such as washing powder and toilet paper which I'll buy at 22p/roll or less such as Saxon from Aldi or SpringForce from Tesco.

My budget is £25 per person per week.

I'd buy Nicky toilet roll from FF which is much the same price and really good quality.

To answer OP's question: Yes, I would shop around if you have the time and it wouldn't use up too much petrol.

I'd suggest you start by writing a list of what you need. You could fill a storecupboard/freezer straight away or you could keep that 'stores' money in a separate purse and stock up as you see offers.
