Pads for removing nail varnish/eye make up

Does anyone use those eye make up remover and nail varnish remover pads? I find nail polish remover bottles a bit cumbersome and wonder what those pads are like, are they cost effective?

Also I have trouble in removing my eye make up, would prefer a cleanser that does the job but nothing seems to work.

I've tried the nail polish remover ones, they're great on just regular polish but if it's a gelly type one, or if you use a top coat you can use a whole tub in one go.

I've never tried the makeup ones, I just use olive oil on a cotton pad. It shifts every scrap of waterproof mascara in one wipe and doesn't sting your eyes.
