The Boots Christmas weekly Star gift thread

Word of warning on the Soap & Glory set. I ordered a couple last year and it was a total farce trying to get hold of them. I was charged for them and received delivery confirmation to my local store, but they never arrived - apparently thanks to mistakes at the courier depot (I think it was Hermes). I was eventually quite embarrassed as I went in every day to check for them, including Christmas Eve! Eventually I got a refund well after Christmas. I would urge you to go in to a branch and buy one if possible - I definitely wasn't the only person affected by this, and I think they sold far more than they could process in the run up to Christmas.

All the instore orders go through internal transport now so I can't imagine the same problems this year. Of course if you can go and pick one up great, but I prefer to order online first thing on the day they launch as then at least you know you're getting one.

I've never had a problem with my online orders in previous years, I guess I'm one of the many lucky ones. I have to order mine online on the morning of the offer goes on sale as I'm not in the position to be able to go into town to buy them instore, as I start work at 7.30am and am too tired afterwards - nearly 5pm to be going into town to attempt to get them, and at that I doubt I would at that stage.

I order mine on the Friday morning and usually have them delivered to my house by the following Tuesday, I've always been a happy customer so far, so will have to continue to buy online as I have no other choice. And if I don't get them, then so be it, I'll have to get something else instead

Hey guys, I work for boots we never find out what the star gifts are going to be until about a week before hand but the big soap and glory gift will be star gift again this year (that much we do know) it's usually the last week before Christmas! With all in store 3 for 2's the till arranges them in price order (groups all the similar prices together) so you will always get the best deal with the no7 vouchers it is best to get if you get one skincare item, and 2 makeup items (make sure at least one is cheaper than the skincare item) you will get the cheapest item free and then can use both vouchers to get you 8pound off! for example say you get no7 wipes which are £7 then get 2 nail varnishes which I think are £6 you get one nail varnish free and then if you use both vouchers you will get all 3 items for £5!

They told me I couldn't use 3 vouchers in one transaction on a 3 for 2.

3 vouchers? you can't use 3 of the same vouchers (ie with the same barcode) in one transaction, but in Showell's example with the no7 wipes and 2 nail polishes, you can use a £5 off no7 skincare voucher, and a £3 off no7 cosmetics, in that transaction, no problem .

Aw I'm thick. How comes you get one of the nail varnishes for free?
