Four duplicate post warnings when replying to four other topics. Two test replies to this thread, now deleted, show that it didn't happen here. Main difference is sections and time writing replies, as well as size of replies. Also didn't happen with a short test reply in one of the other sections. It's not impossible that it's me but four serious posts all getting the duplicate handling is unusual.

When tests showed it not happening with short and fast replies I deleted most of this but since it happened again in a longer reply I'm leaving this around now because it might be some glitch in the posting or debounce logic.

I am getting it on every post. So, you are not alone.

update: When I went to the about screen to get my version number for chrome, it started an update and is now on 30.0.1599.66 m. I am no longer getting the duplicate post message with this version.

Just happened again in my first post recently. Windows 8 FF 20.0.1 for this.

    But not on this post.
  • Thanks all. We are treating this as an occasional intermittent problem and looking into it. Unfortunately these are often the most difficult to investigate. As it's hard for us to "catch" this kind of malfunction. So we would appreciate your patience.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Hopefully it's not major in this case.

This has happened to me on the last three posts I made. It says I have to wait 30 seconds before posting, but when I scroll down from that message I can see that my message has in fact already posted.

It happened all day yesterday with the last time for me being at around 1am this morning. Not checked today yet but I will be back to let you know my outcome. BTW It was both short and long replies for myself and happened 9 out of ten times
