Unfortunately I dont have the best credit score because I fell behind with some credit card. I am also self employed for the last 11 months so remortgaging is out of the question.
Any advice?
Santander seemed to string us along and made us believe that 1 year of self employed accounts may be enough to get us a mortgage. Months down the line they rejected the application, leaving us in a state.
Halifax however gave us a mortgage offer in 10 days and have been brilliant, so my suggestion would be to avoid Santander and approach Halifax.0
