Lloyds Loans Please HELP!!!
Hi
Hoping somebody can help ..I have 2 loans with Lloyd's..1 which I had for over 4 years and was shortly to finish the 2nd load was a small amount and also was due to finish as it was a shorter loan. Unfortunately due to cutback I lost my job and had to claim benefits whilst searching for a new job. I contacted all my creditors and informed them of this unexpected change in circumstances and agreed a new short term payment scheme for 6 months that was taking into account that I was in receipt of a much lower income from benefits. I must emphasize even tho' I was on benefits I kept up to date with these payments. When the 6 months was up with Lloyd's I was given options of continuing with the lowered monthly payment, paying the outstanding balance off in full or resuming the monthly payments that I was used to before my employment ended. I choose the latter and The direct was debit was reinstated. Problems began when I noticed they was not taking the direct debits out, the money was there but Lloyd's did not take it and have refused to take it since although the DD is active. What they have done instead is transfer the loan to some debt collection company who constantly pesters me. I have been into local branch and have never been more disgusted with the quality of service attained from the staff there. The rudeness and unhelpfulness was only to be surpassed by an extremely arrogant and aggressive assistant . The bottom line was that they could not give me even the slightest amount of information about the account and said I would have to contact the debt collection company for more information which I did, only to be told that all they know is the debt is with them and for any further information I would have to speak to the branch who as already mentioned will not speak to me about what has happened to my loan accounts either. I have been having this problem for about 6 months now and am just going around in circles with both companies. Also since the loans got transferred a lot of extra charges have gone onto the account So as you can see I am a bit stuck and any advice would be most helpful. thank you

Hi there,
Quick tip, if you want more replies, use paragraphs, it's much easier to read.
best of luck sorting out the issue thoughA smile costs nothing, but gives a lot.It enriches those who receive it without making poorer those who give it.A smile takes only a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.0 -
Write an complaint and follow lloyds process
http://www.lloydsbank.com/contact-us.asp
don't go into branch or do it over the phone, write to them and ask for them to write back, if you aren't satisfied then go to the FOS after 8 weeks or a finial response.
Remove any emotion, state the facts and what you want them to do to resolve the complaint.0 -
How long has this been going on for?
How long ago since you agreed to commence payments at the original payment amount by DD?
And how soon did you realise the payments were not being taken?
Have you written to them about this?
Who is the debt collection agency they have involved? have they written to you?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

I do not think having a hissy fit is any help to anyone let alone the OP.0 -

Really sensible and practical tip for the future you mean.... if the OP wants people to read his missives that is.0 -

I was simply trying to give some sensible advice for the benefit of the OP.
As you can see, the good work of DCFC above has made this far easier for everyone to read and in turn will probably get the OP more replies/advice.A smile costs nothing, but gives a lot.It enriches those who receive it without making poorer those who give it.A smile takes only a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.0 -

Could you do it in a smaller font (not bold) in blue please...and maybe add a Poll on the end.
Thanks muchly"We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -

A multicoloured poll would make my day. Each option a different colour.
Yes please."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0
