Twitter comping account. Should I make a new one?

Ok I know we shouldn't really be using twitter just to comp but when I first started comping I didn't have a clue what I was doing on twitter!
Over the months I have used the account just for competitions.

In the beginning I was winning quite a few times from there but in the last couple of months I've not won anything (apart from the £2 McCain voucher which most people got) and wondered if it was because companies could see my account was only being used for comping?

Would it be worth deleting my account and starting a new one, making sure to add 'normal' tweets so my account looks 'normal'?

I don't know....not sure whether they are allowed to pick and choose who wins their prize just by looking at an account??

I have just deleted mine and opened another - mainly because I didn't like my username. I only really use it for comps but I'll tweet something every now and then

rather than delete it you could have just changed it x

I only use mine for comping, but I have won recently. So I don't think it is this. Perhaps just that more people enter now.

Agree with Marg2k8 - more people enter now. Look at the details of a comp tweet to see how many times it has been entered with an RT - often hundreds of times.

Same with Facebook like and share comps.

Some winners names come up often but they must spend ages retweeting.
