Landline or Freephone Number for HMRC

Does anyone know of a landline or freephone number for HMRC, please. The only numbers I have been able to find are either premium rate numbers or numbers which are only accessible from overseas. Thanks.

    Try 0300 200 3300 (Source www.saynoto0870.com).
  • Thanks but 0300 numbers are premium rate numbers albeit at a cheaper rate than 0845/0870 and so on.

    Indeed:

    0300 Numbers Costs

By law, when calling a 03 number from within the UK, the cost must be exactly the same as calling a geographic landline numbers (starting 01 and 02). This is different to the 08 numbers where this is not the case. The law also covers calling 03 numbers from a mobile phone. The law goes one step further and says that calls to 0300/03 numbers must be included as part of a customers “free minutes” package and any other call cost reduction packages. All UK telephone operators, including mobile phone and landline operators, all comply to this law.

And as Tadley's extract states, they are most definitely not premium rate numbers, they are charged at the same rate as any landline number, so you are at no disadvantage whether you are calling from a mobile with inclusive calls or not.
  • Many thanks for correcting me, guys.
