argos doing it again!

As you can see i'm still having trouble with argos. They have now sent my account to Moorcroft who have been instructed by argos, under terms and conditions of my agreement to add another £12.00 for writing to me! I have sent a letter of complaint requesting refund of £12.00, to stop interest and asking for a copy of my agreement. Any advice?

  • invoice them £12.00 every time you write to them: I did that with Leo Abse Cohen a few years ago, eventually they stopped demanding stupid 'administration fees' and we agreed not to charge each other for simply writing a letter. They still didn't get a penny from me, but that's a story for another time.

It is in their terms and conditions, if you don't have an agreement in place they can transfer your account and charge any of their costs in recovering their costs
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

then if they agreed to it, escalate a complaint but keep it polite

maybe a good idea that its gone to Moorcroft. Made a complaint to them Re 12.00 and asked for interest to stop. May be they will be more forthcoming than Argos who have done nothing but give me problems. Even Barclaycard have dealt with my matter better than Argos
