Wow!
Well, got asked today to work full time at school next year which means a 100% payrise (doubling current salary) and I am also eligible, although I need to pass successfully, for threshold.
This means my DMP payments will practically double - so bringing DFD to just about 2yr9months!!! OMG!!:j :j
I've been crying a little already about not being with the kids part time and giving up that time, but we're going to be so much ahppier sorting the debt faster and getting out of this that I guess it'll be worth it in the long run. It now has made me even more determined to cut back now to get as much paid off as quickly as possible. I also want to get those good habits ingrained before then and if I can pay that amount to the DMP, I can save/pay the mortgage/do good things with it - not just buy more expensive food and waste it!!
Slightly nervous that this won't happen and that things will go wrong.

Fantastic news Sea....excellent....brilliant....superb.
And...isn't the threshold now done internally, ie the headteacher says yea or nay? Whatever, I'm sure you will get it and that's about another £2k before stoppages I think.....and then you can go for UPS2, then 3 etc and then go for a few TLR points. The sky's the limit for you now!0 -
