ccjs, charges on property

I owe 9K on a creditcard, am self-employed and my business partner has gone bust so my revenue has taken a hammering. I have been completely upfront from the beginning.
Following advice from CCCS I have been making token monthly payments to RMA (lovely!!), but now have received "notice before litigation" from their friends Colemans-ctts.
CCCS have told me today that now courts can award hybrid ccjs whereby you are ordered to pay a monthly amount, with the total debt secured on your property. I said that the property is joint owned with my hubby and I was told that it didn't make any difference.....
Does anyone know if this is true? or if not - any comments?
advice? what the real score is? How much power do they really have?
