mine is just my normal road bike, my commute direct to work is only 3mins - under a mile, so most days i do a 15-ish mile loop depending on weather before i go in, sometimes after work as its now pitch black at 5am, so dont tend to go as far out in the mornings.
whats yours?

I've had a number, but this was my favorite:
Condor 753 Silver soldered Steel frame with a smattering of Campag Record parts. Nicked a few years ago, so if you see anyone with it, give them a punch from me.0 -

My commuter bike is a Honda Hornet 900 , 60mpg too , not looking forward to another winter on my 42 mile a day commute though :-(0

When the weather is good I tend to take the road bike for commuting but my proper commuter which will plough through all weather conditions is this one:
It's the first bike I bought to get back into cycling and it appealed as it has no derailleurs (internal 8 speed gear hub instead), disc/drum brakes instead of rim brakes and a belt instead of a chain. It feels a bit slow now compared to the road bike but particularly over the winter it will be good for the poorer weather.

My commute is 14 miles each way (around 1 hour 20 minutes with London traffic) and have just worked up to cycling in 3 days a week.
Hoping to get the frequency up to 5 days a week before December.
Built it myself, based around a Shimano Alfine 11 speed geared hub.

John, I like the look of that, a very practical solution.
Myself, current commute is a 30quid hybrid, converted into a single speed with some wide-ish tyres for tracks, bits of off-road.
Doubt I have a photo of it, but for me it does the business.0 -
My old GT aggresor has finally given up after 9 years use.
So I have this on order, only have a 8 mile round trip to do and didnt fancy a road bike. Mailny because I wear saftey boots and other ppe on the way in. Just can't wait for it to be delivered.
