I've tried the Toni & Guy and GHD versions of this and so far haven't been impressed with them, however I've been spraying them on dry hair rather than damp.

My hair is naturally part wavy/part curly if left to its own devices but there's no regularity to it, some days it looks lovely just with my fingers run through it and has a nice wavy curl but other days it looks like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards lol.

I'd love to be able to not straighten it all the time as really like it when it's wavy but as yet not found anything that really works very week in achieving that look.

  • I've used the l'oreal one and the superdrug one. To be honest, neither did anything for my hair. However, i have straight hair, so maybe that's where the problem lies and not with the product.

I have tried to make my own, but it's false economy.

Aussie have a product called sprunch i think. It looks goodfrom what i've seen on youtube. However, i think it may not be available in the shops.

I was using the Umberto Giannini one and really liked the results BUT I noticed I was losing a lot more hair during washing, and it was really tangled. I stopped using it and my hair has improved massively. I can't really see what else could have caused it aside from the salt spray.

I found they dried my hair out quite a lot when I use them and did have a tendency to make it more easy to tangle Cardi80. If you think they have a similar effect to sea water which is very drying - I only use them on rare occasions now tbh.

I've used salt spray for about 12 months now and think its brill.

I have short fine hair which has no volume whatsoever. I towel dry my hair then spray through it quite generously, I then blow dry into my usual style. It adds loads of volume but isn't claggy like mousse. If it gets wet then I just dry back into my style with no issues. If I want it spiked then I use a bit of wax as well.

When my hair is dry and I want a bit more texture i spray it sparingly over the top and rough it up.

I use the Tony & Guy one but it's a bit expensive so I'll be trying the got2b one when it runs out.
