Linking Directly To Blog Comps Problem With Blog Owners

Hello There
Just received a message saying a blog owner is not happy with her comp being directly linked to instead of going onto the blog.
I can't remember if it was a RC where you have to go onto the blog to comment to open up all the other options or not.
This is the gist of it:

So do we stop adding the direct links to the RC's?
Thank You

I think it's because when we link directly to the rafflecopter page the tweet shows like this
"£50 worth of Zappie Products - bringing pictures to life with @pinkoddy & @ZappieInfo https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4779098"
Whereas, if we go to the blog review and giveway and click on the rafflecopter link on the blog the tweet then displays like this
"£50 worth of Zappie Products - bringing pictures to life with @pinkoddy & @ZappieInfo http://pinkoddy.co.uk/blog/2013/09/29/zappie-bring-pictures-to-life-review-50-giveaway/"

I can understand from the bloggers point of view. They don't want people just visiting their comp page to enter a giveaway when they have created a wonderful blog with all sorts of info. Maybe we should just link to the main 'home' page and then each comper can search the blog for the comp if they wish to enter.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I think the issue is you've posted a link for people to go direct to the rafflecopter form completely bypassing the review and post. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I usually just link to the blog page the RC is on. I've never had anyone complain about that because people are actually on their blog page
It's when there is a RC that is a link you follow to a different page away from the blog that I linked to this time. I think that could be the problem.
If we don't do any direct linking away from the RC on the blog page perhaps that would be O.K?

I agree - must be annoying for a blogger to take the time and effort to review the prize/company offering the prize, only for a comper to go straight to the rafflecopter to enter. Also you usually need to leave a comment directly under the review and rafflecopter and when a direct link is given to the rafflecopter (when it shows on a page on it's own), there is no where to leave your comment.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Bloggers mainly run competitions to get their pageviews up. If you post a link directly to RC (rather than to their blog) it kind of defeats the object of hosting the comp. If that makes sense? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
