The best way of playing Final Fantasy games...

Hi all,
This is slightly unrelated but I'm not sure where to go!
I'm looking for the easiest way of playing old PS1 Final Fantasy games, namely FF9.
I'm ruling out buying a ps1 as they take up too much room.
Am I able to play these games on a PSP? Or a PS Vita? I've been out of the gaming arena for a while so I don't know the ins and outs of it.
I understand the games on the playstation network but unsure what this is, how I can access it and if I can get it on a PSP or PS Vita.
Thank you for any advice you can give me

You can play them on your laptop/desktop. Google PS1 emulator.0

Oops forget to mention that emulators are out of the question as I have a Google Chromebook preventing me from downloading any programs!0

Yes on PSP - two ways.
Various FF games are available for purchase through the PSN store.
Or you could hack the PSP and steal it.
I'd just buy it, saves mucking around trying to hack PSP etc0 -
So I can access PSN on a PSP? Like the marketplace on an xbox?0

If so, where can I pick up a cheap brand new one? Ebay is probably my best bet right?0

PS3 has them for download.

I did try Google but it wasn't clear if you could get PSN on a PSP as it's quite an old console. I knew you could get it on a PS Vita though!
Useful to know that I can definitely get PSN on a PSP though0 -
