Can I get a mortgage

Hi if someone could help that would be great.
With the exception of a default on a credit card which I got last August and I settled fully in June of this year. My file is otherwise clean. I earn 30k a year.
I have seen a house for 120k and would like to put down a 30k deposit, what are the chances of me getting a mortgage?
Thanks

It will be a bit tricky, your best bet is to go to a broker and discuss the situation. Although you settled the credit card fully the default will stay on your credit file for 6 years.
When apply for a mortgage your file will be checked and some lenders are extremely picky regarding defaults.
You wont know until you try though, so best of luck

£1400 default registration date 01/08/2012, settled fully June 1st 2013.
Legal costs had to be paid off which caused me to neglect this.0 -
The size and the gap between registration and satisfaction will put off some lenders, but with an otherwise clean credit file and a 25% deposit, there will be options open to you which you'll find more quickly by talking to an independent or whole market broker.I am a mortgage broker.
