Do you tag winners on facebook?

It really annoys me that a lot of companies announce the winner on their facebook page but don't bother to tag them or even get in contact with them. I don't get how they expect people to check their page religiously every day as even non-compers like a lot of different pages on facebook. I almost missed out on a prize the other week it's only because someone messaged me a day before I would of lost it lost it saying ' you do know you've won this prize??' but I had no idea


So if I notice a page status flag up on my homepage saying someone has won I always try and tag the person in it because I'd hate to miss out on a prize just because I hadn't noticed my name and I'd hope someone would do the same for me so I was wondering if anyone else does the same?

I usually post them on both of the Winners Circle pages if they're not on there already and there's a Facebook Winners thread in the IWIWIW section too.

I don't get a notification when companies try and tag me anyway, for some reason.

You need to join the Winners Circle if you haven't already

The reason there are two is because people fell out a few months ago. So you have a winners circle and a happy winners circle lol. I'm on both.

I notify the winners sometimes if they haven't already. I saw a winning announcement this morning and when I asked the winner if she knew, she didn't. So that is my good deed for the day

Basically on facebook you can 'tag' someone and if someone tags you it will show up in your notifications so if you won a prize on facebook and they tagged you on facebook it would come up on your notifications and you could go straight to the page claim your prize/know you've won etc but if someone writes your name without tagging you will be none the wiser that you've won anything and you tag someone by putting @ then the persons name

I have been wondering (especially since the FB rule changes whereby the 'page' don't have to contact you for your win!:mad:)

The 'tagging' thing sounds good & I joined a 'winners circle'
