Accord mortgage Help!

Hi,
I am 5 weeks into trying to get a mortgage offer from Accord for a property (FTB). This mortgage offer (or lack of) is now holding everything else up.
I have read numerous reviews on Accord...none of which are particularly good, however my mortgage broker implied they were one of the only places that would accept me because of my employment situation.
In the last 2 months I have started on a 3 yr fixed term contract but have no employment history (I have just completed a PhD which i started directly after my undergraduate degree).
I was wondering if Accord really are the only lender that I could approach in my situation or if there is anyone else? I really don't feel positive that I will make any progress with Accord and do not want to lose the property. If it helps I have a 30% deposit.
I appreciate any advice you can give!

Surprised Accord was the recommendation here, good rates but difficult processing as you have found.
There will be other lenders, depending on the specific circumstances.I am a Mortgage Broker

The lenders available will be very limited.
Accord are a nightmare. There may be the odd other lender but they will be few and far between, the rates will also most likely be higher than accord as accords rates are quite competitive.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Ahh thanks. Not filling me with much confidence.
The property is a flat (151k) and i have 45300 deposit. I earn 28k a year and can easily afford the repayments.
Even though Accord are a nightmare, do you think it is likely that they will offer me the mortgage eventually? I'm really not sure what else I can do...0 -

I have an offer with Accord. I am on a 2 year fixed term contract as a researcher at a University with over 12 months to run, and my partner is on maternity leave.
All in all from application to offer in writing was 4 weeks.
Start of August application put in by broker, after information supplied by us,
6/8 fees taken by Accord for survey and application
15/8 survey took place
30/8 word from our mortgge broker than mortgage approved
3/9 in writing approval from Accord mortgages.
All done, application and approved within the month of August, and on their website they do state an average of 20 working days which was about right for us.
We ended up getting a 75% LTV at 2.99% fixed for 5 years. So there is hope.0
