when our solicitors get the local council to complete monday does, that then mean we are the new owners of our own house from that date and, nothing else to do? sorry if it seems such a dumb question

If I understand you question correctly yes it does. Everything becomes your responsibility from paying the mortgage to painting the gutters.I am a Mortgage Broker

yes once funds are received by the councilDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
