Hi everyone
So bit long winded so bear with me.. me and my fiance are thinking about buying our first home. We have lived together for 3 years in rented flat. Unfortunaltly my Nana passed away 2 years ago and my mum has sold her property and wants to give me and OH £12k for a deposit. We have seen a few houses for £90k which we quite like. I get nervous around anything financial so my question is what are the chance of us getting a mortgage? Here are some facts about us that I think they may use
1) I have an outstanding loan for £2500 which ends Oct 14, I also have a car on hire purchase. We have C Cards but no balances on any
2) I earn £23,670 and OH earns £23,360. He as a student loan but no other debt
3) We have all green on our credit report apart from OH who missed 2 payments with broadband due to a mix up in direct debits. (should he try and get this removed? or do just defaults count?)
4) We have moved address 3 times in past 3 years due to work and one house had terrible damp and LL wasnt prepared to fix.
5) Now OH has a few current accounts open due to different ones offering different incentives. He doesnt have overdrafts on any at all do they count as credit accounts?
Not sure what else they look at. We were looking to put down £10k on a £90k house xx

Get the broadband mix up cleared from the file if possible, that is the only hazard obvious here.
You might need to find 13500 deposit if you cannot get it shifted.I am a Mortgage Broker
