What Day Do You Go Shopping (and why)?

Options
I go whenever at the moment but I think I might try to go on a Saturday or Sunday so we have fresh veggies for Sunday roast and that week.

Poll closes on the 29th of October.

We got to Aldi once a fortnight to buy most things.

Every Wednesday I do my Mums shopping when I usually go to Sainsburys as its on the way from work and she doesn't care where I go. I usually buy apples, potatoes, cherry toms and *wine from there as Aldi's fruit and veg is rubbish and doesn't last.

*The wine doesn't seem to last either but that's for another reason. :D

We have an allotment so don't buy very much fruit or veg other than apples.
  • Big shops aren't open on a Sunday here, mostly go on a Saturday, but then it depends if we have had deliveries over.

I work during the week, so Saturday is the easiest day for me

In bad weather the boats can't dock and so the shelves are empty of fresh stuff.

It's worse now as our bakery shut down so we rely on importing bread from the mainland, so it's already a day or two post baking and in bad weather you can't get fresh (ish) bread anywhere!
  • I don't do a weekly shop. I buy things as and when I run out or if there's a good offer.

If I do a bigger shop, it's on Thursday or Friday as these are my days off.

I have friends and family that shop on Saturday as they work. But they are surprised at the number of retired people doing big shops at that time. Yet moan how busy it is! I shop sometimes on Thursday afternoon and its quiet. Shop then!
