Hi guys,
Basically I admit I gave gambling problems, nothing too serious I think. But I like to bet on the football.
I earn around £1100 a month. Outgoings come to £700 a month.
I bet big, thats my problem. Like £200 a bet.
I have taken a loan out from Wonga before, for £500.
Mum paid it off.
Took it out again. Mum paid it off.
I have taken it out again, and its due on monday.
I cant keep going back to my mum, she will prob say no this time. Its nice that she pays it off, but it doesnt help with my gambling.
I have £0 to my name, and dont get paid until end of next month.
I REALY REALLY want to stop wasting my money. I want to spend it on nice things, like day trips etc.
I just want to stop gambling for good. So hard tho.
I dont have anything to sell to pay debt off.
My wages goes into my mums account to help manage my money. She pays me rent etc. Then gives me the money left over.
I really dont know what to do, and wether to ask my mum again to help me out.
Any help / advice really would appreciated
thanks

How old are you?
Can you try a gambling charity where you can get some help to stop your gambling?0 -

I don't think going to your mum for help again is advisable. You need to sort this out yourself. Having someone helping you out hasn't made you change as you've repeated your past mistakes.
Although, you've admitted youv'e got a problem you dont seam to realise
how serious it is. If your mum hadn't off helped you, you would now be in a min off £1.5k debt, not including charges and interest. I think speaking to someone is a must, you need to get this under control before it gets really out of hand.
When did you get paid? Is it just the payday loan you owe this month or have you got more outgoings?Debt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0 -
If you could take a tablet that would stop you gambling - would you take it?
If the answer is yes then contact Gamblers Anonymous
If you attend regular meetings and follow the steps it will be just like taking a tablet that stops you gambling....
Not going to tell you how gambling will eventually ruin every part of your life bit by bit (and it will)
Try to concentrate on showing your mum you can be trusted - because at the moment her trust levels will be very low
Self help - get rid of all the things that help you to gamble - the card - the account - ban yourself from the bookies etc etc
You will come out of the other end of this a better person as you will have more of an appreciation of money
You just need to take the first steps....

This month I owe the payday loan and sky bill.
If there was a pill that would make me stop gambling 100% id take it .0 -

Then its up to you to contact GA - only you can take the steps needed to arrest your problem
Let me leave you with one last thought
Imagine you are now a father and your 22 year old son tells you he is gambling all his money away - and needs you to get him out of trouble
What would you say to him?0 -
Can you raise the cash, ie sell something to pay sky bill? And maybe a little extra cash for your pocket? You may have to be imaginative! Maybe your local Facebook selling page so you don't have to pay postage upfront?! I'd read through the forums regards to payday loan, you may have to admit you cant pay this til next pay day, unless anyone can think of any other ideas? Maybe being skint and unable to bet may have its uses. It going to be a hard month, but it be worth it. Think when you beat this of the better quality of life your have, less stress and more cash!Debt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0

Tell your Mum.
But also tell her not to pay the debt for you this time - it's emotional support you need.
Sell stuff on eBay. Pay the debt with the proceeds.
Contact GA. Close all online betting accounts. Avoid bookmakers. If your problem is online avoid the machines that you use for three weeks.0 -
I am going to ring up the loan company and see if I can pay it at the end of this month.
Also I am going to try and do as much overtime at work this month if it's available.0 -
If you're really serious about stopping gambling, you might want to think about cancelling the trip to Las Vegas
