Freezing Meat

Hi,
I've always frozen meat as soon as I've bought it, then defrosted, cooked and eaten straight away or i've cooked it straight away and then frozen if batch cookin e.g. chilli etc, but I was wondering how safe it is to freeze meat twice?
e.g. I've got some chicken thighs in the freezer, can I defroost them and make them into a curry and then freeze the curry?
Thanks

You can re freeze meat that was raw then made into a meal. I do this all the time with mince.0

Yes i too do this all the time!
Buy fresh meat, leave it in the fridge a few days, freeze it if im not going to use it in time. Take it out of the freezer, use it within a few days and then refreeze

Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j0 -
Freeze raw meat, defrost, cook it into something, cool it down, , refreeze... No problem.
If you defrosted the frozen meat, and re froze without cooking...mucho problemo!
That is why I never worry too much about power cuts. I just cook the raw meat, and freeze again when the power comes back!
And eat the cooked stuff that is frozen ASAP.0 -
Just remember the freezer storage time for cooked meat is much shorter than raw meat.0
