asda 25p deals - how often?

Asda have great 25p deals in omagh this wkend - ice cream, pizza, hot dogs.

I did a google search to see how often they do this. No obvious pattern, but the 25p deals have been reported regularly on this site, hot uk deals and mumsnet since 2010 at least.

Anyone know is this a random irregular thing? Or is there a regular pattern to it?

I'm pretty sure they're changing the packaging, so are shifting stock cheap to make way for the new look stuff.

I always shop in asda and have never seen a 25p deal feelng cheated now

I have only just twigged onto this yesterday. Got a pile of 25p stuff in the freezer section - no damage to product, dates all at least 2014. Think you're right obama, seems to be end of line stock.

I googles it and asda have been doing this years!!!

I alway check reduced sections in fruit and veg, fridge and bread sections - never occurred to me to check freezers.

I have got to check tescos!!!!!!!
