Whatever it is at the end of the month. Because if you were to be paid into another account your overdraft would be that. You obviously use all your wages for living, rent, bills, food.etc0

Do you bank online?
Have a look at your account balance over the last six months. The maximum extent to which you are overdrawn is the extent to which you live in your overdraft. Ideally you would NEVER dip below zero on that account.
In order to not use the overdraft, you need that amount of money extra in the account.0 -
I would consider you overdrawn to the maximum that you're overdrawn immediately before payday. Let's say that the day before payday you're £2000 overdrawn. You pay in your wages of £1000 making you only £1000 overdrawn. Over the course of the month you slowly spend your wages taking you back to £2000 overdrawn the day before next payday. From my perspective, that makes you £2000 in your overdraft. Paying in your wages then spending it again only masks the consistent level of debt.0
