Not if you pay dividends rather than salary.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Am currently pondering a couple of contracts overseas, retaining 97% of contract value is becoming hard to ignore.

That's true....however, you have to consider the living expenses of being abroad and the fact that you have to STILL pay the UK taxes IF you are not out of the country for atleast 2 TAX years.

If you look at one of the 0% tax countries in the middle east...for example.

You have to take into consideration the HIGH rental costs…and the UK TAX..

But it’s still worth it…You just have to stay away for 2 years…(However you are allowed back for NO-MORE then 90 days in any TAX year.)

In my opinion, the UK TAX system is geared to take from the HARD Working man (who spent years studying and then EVEN more years getting to where he is)….and give to the ‘useless lot’ that just wasted their education and are now either un-employed and claiming benefits or in minimum wage jobs being subsidized to the hilt by the tax payer to give them a ‘Living Wage’. So they buy the iPad’s and go out drinking…...(sorry it’s the bitter side of a high TAX payer…)….

ive been doing project work for 6 years now. And although occasional down periods, the increased day rate im on more than makes up for it - i also use umbrella companies.

deffinately much better off, dont get bored because every project is different and i can leave one company and move to another.. i also work for some pretty good companies. would not go back to permenant unless absolutely essential
