HELP NEEDED
let me explain, I had run into financial difficulty and could not pay my supplier. My supplier instructed Jonathan Andrews Ltd to pursue me for £8237. I had received a few letters and phone calls from Jonathan Andrews Ltd they were asking for £10,782. They said the extra was costs nd interest. I disputed the difference and they started court action against me. The next thing I knew was when 2 thugs turned up at my door with Jonathan Andrews Ltd ID badges and were in possession of a High Court Writ. I didn't let them in, they quickly upped the stakes and put a clamp on my car and my van. I called the police to stop them as these were both parked on my drive but when the police arrived they tried to talk to them and the thugs from Jonathan Andrews Ltd told the police to stay out the way and not to get involved. The police were on my side but when they told the police to stop obstructing them otherwise they would call their superiors the police backed down. Jonathan Andrews Ltd have today taken my car and van on the back of there truck and I can't run my business.
How can I get my vehicles back off Jonathan Andrews? Without them I can't work to earn money and pay the debt off.
Please help my wife is so worried and I don't know what to do?
Thanks

high court writ game overDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

How can I get my car and van back though? I can pay in instalments to clear debt?
Thanks for replying.0 -
Only they can tell you that.. Have you asked the people who took it?An opinion is just that..... An opinion0

They said I can get it back if I pay in full otherwise they will go through auction in next 2 weeks.
They are not negotiating, they also said if they sell for less than is owed they will be back to collect balance.
Jonathan Andrews Ltd have no compassion and will to negotiate. It's full payment or nothing, now I won't be able to work. The wife can't get to work because she needs the car also.
I don't know what to do now.0 -
Haven't you ever watched The Sherrifs are Coming ?

If the dispute has gone as far as a High Court writ then they are within their rights to remove anything you own to clear the debt.
Also they will charge you for everything, every time they attend, the cost of the tow truck etc.
What you should have done the first time they called is pay them something and agree a repayment plan you should have stuck to.
If you have other debt problems and no assets have you considered bankruptcy? If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
Check to make sure that these people and the company really are HCEOs. Their website reads like some scummy amateur debt collection/tracing agency with no mention of having registered HCEOs.
If not registered, then you and the police were scammed.Still rolling rolling rolling......<

Thanks for all replies, looks like the writ was issued and it was enforced by Jonathan Andrews Ltd under another companies behalf.
Looks like I've lost now and nowhere to go. The information I've even given s that High Court enforcement officers are not registered only the Sheriffs. So looks like its all right.
Thanks for all help0 -
Officers have to be registered http://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/enforcement-officersStill rolling rolling rolling......

Sherrifs are High Court Enforcement Officers, just a different name.
Presumably the company you owe money to took you to court and obtained a CCJ?
If so you should have done something at that stage, CCJs won't just go away if the creditor is prepared to persue it.
I am afraid the cost will just keep going up if you don't pay.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
Were you sued personally or did you trade as a limited company? Are the vehicles owned by you and registered in your name? Is there any finance owing on the vehicles?0
