Hi New to this site!!! Can anybody tell me do we have to close our Mortgage Account with Santander. My Endowment matures and we can pay it off. They are charging us £298 to do that. What a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have the old paperwork when you took out the mortgage ?
Now a few lenders have had there wrists slapped for charging the current 2013 mortgage exit fee and not the fee you agreed to when you took out the mortgage in 1988?
Ask them WHY are you charging me £298

They are charging us £298 to do that. What a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
