Compressed Deodorant IS less than full size!

Options
I don't know if anyone else has taken the claims by Unilever et al that their clever compressed deodorants are exactly the same as the full siize, just with less packaging?
Being quite keen on recycling and green issues, I was impressed with their new product claims and bought one. However I felt it ran out quite quickly. Quick internet search gave me no genuine reviews so I decided to run my own experiment!!
I bought 2xdove - one 150ml normal and one compressed mini. I used them on alternate days and made a mark on the can each time. I can now reveal the 150ml lasted lots longer so I dispute their claims:
150ml - 30 uses
75ml - 20 uses.
I would be interested to see if any other users have investigated the 'lasts as long with lesss packaging' claims?

I started using Pitrok 4 months ago. I think it will last for a long time.

Pitrok - roll on or push up? Any good and why do you think it will last a long time?? (Because you may think its naff and therefore wont use it, hence lasting a long time!)

I've used it for years, which is how I know. I cannot use antiperspirants as I am allergic to them.

The one I have will last for ever, used 3 times and then it stopped working , no spray when I press on the top. Emailed them and did they answer, of course not :rotfl:

Thanks to beauty blogging, I was sent a couple of these compressed deodorants for free. Yes, they do run out quickly. I'm not a fan of sprays anyway so probably wouldn't buy again regardless, but still wouldn't recommend the compressed versions even to those who do use sprays regularly.

Completely agree OP - they don't last!
  • I also agree with the above. Not a fan of sprays, but this didn't last any time at all. Disappointed with Unilever!
  • I agree too! The one I had ran out really quickly and I don't think I was using any more than usual!
