Okay so not strictly Christmas related, however, I thought I would my some craft headed folks with lots of ideas here...
My friend was diagnosed with an illness recently and is due in a couple of weeks to go for an operation to hopefully get rid of it.....
I don't have a lot of money but wanted to give her something. I've recently started playing with decoupage and have made a beautiful little box. I wanted to put some bits and pieces in there that have a meaning. Any idea's?
the box isn't very big - its smaller than the size
Of a CD but prob around 3-4inches deep
Please excuse any spelling mistakes - I'm doing this on my phone

How about a survival kit?
A penny so that you can never say you are completely skint
A safety pin to hold things together
An elastic band for when you are stretched too far
A mint because 'you are worth a mint to me'
A stick of chewing gum to help you stick with it when the going gets tough
A crayon to brighten your day
An eraser, so that yesterday's mistakes are wiped out and forgotten
A candle, to help when you are burning yours at both ends
A marble, to replace the ones you've lost
An Elastoplast, to heal any hurt
A match, To light your fire when you are feeling burnt out
A piece of rope, for when you get to the end off yours
Not quite the same, but we did these a couple of years ago with the Brownies for their mums on Mother' Day, and the mums loved them. You can include a list with explanations on, and it's the sort of thing your friend can get out whenever she needs something to help her smile.
I hope her op goes well and she makes a speedy recovery.0 -
how about a memory box. write down memories you share or quotes and tie each one up with ribbon. Open one a day until recovery0
