Centrica Pension

My sisters husband died while working as a British Gas engineer, she was widowed aged 47. Their son was 14 at the time.
My nephew will receive a pension until age 23, if he remains in full time education.
My sister also receives a monthly pension. Does she get this pension for life or will it cease if her circumstances change, ie if she re-marries?
I work for the NHS and only this week went to a pensions seminar myself, which highlighted that a survivors pension (NHS) will continue to be paid lifelong to the surviving spouse even if there is a re-marriage.
Does anyone know the answer?

Hi rholos,
Sorry to hear about your sister's husband.
There are a number of different Centrica pension plans and, depending on which scheme her husband was in, the benefits may be different, so for this I'd suggest contacting Centrica's pension department directly.
I'll send you a private message with the address, in case you don't have it.0 -

You need to find a copy of the scheme rules, because this varies between schemes.0
