Mortgage exit fees

Hi there I sent letters off to my last 4 mortgage companys and asked about the exit fee refunds as I do not have the paperwork stating what I signed for and what I ended up paying.
BIM stated I originally signed for £110 charges but paid £145 charges and they have offered me the difference which I accepted.

Northere Rock state that I signed for £160 charges and I paid £225 charges and thay want to pay me the difference of £65. £160 is a lot of difference from the £110 that I had to pay with BIM should I ask for a detailed list of charges to justify £160? I know I signed for it but how can they differ so much is all the same amount of work?

Help and advice much appreciated

No you can't ask for a detailed list of charges. You signed for the £160 charge, so are only entitled to a refund of the £65 & can't challenge this.

Different lenders have different exit fees & I believe A&L have one of the highest.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
