me & my washing Q again..

just bought a box of washing gel tabs, a good brand, so not cheap. took it home , opened it and read the small print on the lid : not suitable for our washing machine.
Went back to shop,
they said they couldn't take it back.
I was thinking about offering them to someone with "normal" washing machine and just forget about it. But I grudge the thought of paying more when I have already paid enough.
Any ideas?

I'd probably just use them anyway...
I'm also curious as to why they're not suitable.
I would also complain to the manufacturer - that's the sort of information that should be clearly visible. They may offer you a voucher or replacement.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -
Forgot to mention it's a washer-dryer. I'm guessing it could leave some sort of residue and using the dryer would only make it worse?
Would defo write to Persil about it, thank you.
PS. Can I offer this type of things in freecycle?0 -
Up to you op but il use them. I have a washer dryer and used all sorts (whatever's on offer)
If you don't want to chance why not cut open the pouches and pour gel into your drawer?Goal - We want to be mortgages free :j

I'd be on the phone to the care line for a start. There must be something on the box to that effect. Ask them exactly what the problem is with using the gel and ask them why if there is a problem that it isn't clearly shown on the outside of the box.
For what its worth, I doubt I would have seen it myself and happily bunged them in the machine. But I understand you don't want to fork out for a new machine should the worst happen.
I don't see any reason why you can't put them in freecycle, but why should you. See what the care line people have to say first.0 -
Are they suitable if you only use the washing cycle and not the dryer?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I have a washer dryer and I've never even bothered to check my washing powder, liquid or tab boxes. I'd just use them!0

Another vote for cutting them open and putting the gel in the dispenser drawer.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
