OnePoll sign up problems

Hi All,
I've tried to sign up for OnePoll and Crowdology today and both times I've failed miserably. Onepoll keeps saying that the country I've selected (England) does not match my current location. Has anyone seen that before and has anyone beaten that before?
On Crowdology the link on the e-mail they sent me doesn't work. Is this a common problem?

Are you actually in the UK?

I signed up from abroad at the end of last year and had no problem and I'm sure I selected England as my location, so I'm guessing they've now implemented some sort of IP checking.

Yeah I'm in England and I've tried a load of other countries and it doesn't accept any of them

Email both onepoll and crowdology and ask them

We've had this problem before, they check your ip address against a list. If yours is listed as United Kingdom and you pick England from the list it will be wrong.

Try this site to see which country your IP is listed as.

http://www.whatismyip.com/

Remember, it's the country and not the region/state that matters.

According to that website, I'm down as Newport, Wales
It's only 250+ miles out

I checked the IP website and it has the right place for me. It lists United Kingdom but that isn't an option on OnePoll so I guess that ends that then!

Does it have England as the state/region ?

Has anyone had any problems with One Poll giving you a survey when your so close to your £40? I have had several offered to me everyday but since my balance got to £39.95 no surveys are coming through.

This happens to almost everyone, after 2 or 3 working days you should find the surveys are back again and you can finally hit £40.
