paragon redemption
Options
hi all, i hope someone can help im a bit confused, i recently asked for a redemtion staement from paragon as my oh is about to inherit enough to hopefully clear it, the breakdown on the statement is as follows:
Current balance as at 12 july £53,851.37
interest due on 20th June £388.99
Add interest from last payment due to 12th july £281.38
Add early settlement interest £2333.94
sub total £56,855.68
less payment protection premuim rebate, if any £2,408.60
add legal and discharge fee £150.00
total amount payable for settlement £54,597.08 (which is more than we borrowed)
we have had the loan for 18 months now.
My question(s) are 1,is there anyway round this early interest settlement fee of £2333.94 and 2, we are currently fighting the ppi which is thru loans.co.uk it is now with the ombudsman for the FINAL decision, do we pay minus the ppi or all of it and expect a refund from loans.co.uk for it?
hope that makes some kind of sense
thanks in advance

I would not mind betting that you could reduce that redemption figure to Zero.
I take it that the loan is a secured loan and not a mortgage.
I will pm you will details
