Magazine Instants

Hi all,

The format of 'Good to Know' Competitions has changed to the daily magazine format - just wondering if anyone had won off the instants? I know people have won of the prize draws (been skimming through the IWIWIW) You get 36 entries a day and I only enter for prizes I can actually use or want. So have a lot of entries left over.

Am I wasting my time? These just seem impossible until the last day - or am I missing something? I have never done magazine dailies - although once Christmas has been and gone I might give it a bash...

Any advice is more than welcome!

Thank so much guys! :A
Target for 2014 - £2014 = £4207!

You have to be in it to win it

I have been doing the mag daily's for around a year now. I have won 4 or 5 times, not the really big wins like TV's, but some nice wins

    From the prize draws.

I also do the click to win ones, they are new so fingers crossed MSE have some wins from them too

It's easier now to do the daily's since most of the tick boxes have gone to videos you can open multiple windows put the videos on mute & let it play to the end while entering another one

  • This is gonna sound super suspicious of me but I just find it really hard to understand how none of the instants end before their named end dates. imean if the prize is won surely the comp should be removed otherwise we're entering to win nothing?
Starting afresh - comping as much as poss!

Hoping for: some beauty goods, clothes, amazon vouchers, anime, manga, wardrobe, fridge freezer, laptop, an ipad, vouchers for next, exercise goods, a uk break and a wee hol somewhere nice!
    Wishing all a little luck:beer:

I've never really understood how the instant win ones work either.

Thats exactly what I was thinking....might leave the instants for a while...save some time. I might ask again in the new year, see if anyone has been lucky with the instants (or anyone has any insight as to how they work) :)

  • the instants have a very low in rate as the odds are hugely against you most seasoned compers avoid them for that reason

I'm with Hamster on that. I did try them for a while, but I always felt that it wasn't really a productive use of my time. This came up recently and I remember someone added a link showing that at least one person here has won from the instants. Probably more have, I would guess. But personally I think the odds of winning are too low to justify the time they take to enter every day.

Having said that, I don't think I'm suspicious about them. Perhaps when they are won, they are removed, or perhaps the mags are prepared to offer more than one prize, should that be needed? I don't think these reputable magazines would risk cheating.

This comes up quite a bit now - I added a link to the last one, someone on here won Ugg boots through one instant.

If I have entries left over, I'll use them on the instants. It takes a few seconds and your chance of winning has increased at all :)
