Because I've never cleaned behind my fridge in all the 7 years I have had it! :eek:

    When I was little my stepmother kept the house very very tidy.. vacuumed daily etc... and we had maggots under the sofa cushions... My house is a pit but I do not have maggots... Under the microwave is clean too..

    I doubt many people can even move the fridge.

    Down here "!!!!!!" = poor housekeeper.

    I was surprised to learn quite late in life that "!!!!!!" could also = poor knicker elastic.

    And you're all welcome to look behind my fridge. We pulled it out two summers ago when we were looking for mice. All we found was some dust and a lost teaspoon.

    UNDER the fridge was a different matter though - three formerly frozen peas, some broken glass and lots of dust. :shocked:
    I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    i can and do move my big american side by side
    its plumbed into the mains but they left me enough pipe so i can slide it out
    its not difficult at all
    as we have a tiled floor, dust bunnies do sneak under it

    Two slipped discs in my neck and serious lung problems mean moving the fridge would be a medical emergency... maybe I'm a '!!!!!!' but I am not moving it on the basis that I am saving taxpayers money.

    I can't imagine what would be behind it anyway, is it the door to Narnia?

    Unless fridges have wheels these day, how on earth can someone move a huge fridge/freezer to clean behind it on a regular clean?????
    and yes..... that words meaning has changed a little even if it still 'means' untidy, just like the word gay means other things now lol
